Spark My Future is designed to give 6th graders an exciting, hands-on career exploration experience. This 2-hour immersion event allows students from regional school districts to explore a variety of career pathways by using simulators, meeting with industry experts, and engaging in interactive activities.
Spark Academy at IGNITE Pathways offers 7th and 8th graders an exciting opportunity to explore a variety of career options while developing essential skills for future success. Through hands-on experiences and direct interactions with industry professionals, students are immersed in career exploration.
IGNITE Pathways offers a comprehensive Career and Technical Education (CTE) program for high school students in grades 9-12, covering all six of Iowa’s CTE Pathways. Students engage in hands-on career exploration, meet with industry professionals, and earn valuable industry credentials, and prepare for their future plans.
The Work-Based Learning (WBL) program at IGNITE Pathways offers students an exceptional opportunity to gain practical experience in real-world work environments while developing vital technical, academic, and employability skills. Through this program, students actively engage in their chosen career pathways.
School-based enterprises at IGNITE Pathways offer students a unique opportunity to apply the skills they've learned in the classroom to real-world business scenarios. Through these student-led businesses, students engage in hands-on experiences that enhance their learning and professional growth.
IGNITE Gives Back allows community members to request service projects that students complete using technical skills learned in the classroom setting. After submitting a request, students review and select projects, coordinating with project owners to ensure all materials and equipment are provided.
Students can join a variety of clubs and Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) that offer opportunities for leadership, skill development, and career exploration. These groups allow students to engage in hands-on activities, collaborate with peers, and contribute to both school and community initiatives.
Students at IGNITE Pathways can easily access essential resources to support their educational journey. The daily schedule, student handbook, and school calendar are all available online, ensuring students stay informed about daily routines, policies, and upcoming events. Staff emails can also be accessed.
