Building Core Connections: Integrating CBE and Core Credits into CTE Pathways

This professional development package provides districts with a comprehensive guide to integrating core academic credits into Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways through the Competency-Based Education (CBE) model. It covers key aspects including an introduction to CBE, identifying current pathways and core credit opportunities, defining essential standards and competencies, designing real-world learning scenarios, and embedding performance tasks. The program also focuses on student-led learning, collaborative blueprint design, and implementation planning. With a structured approach, districts will be equipped to enhance educational experiences, align core credits with CTE competencies, and prepare students for future success.
