In the Health Imaging Occupations course, students will explore the diverse and dynamic field of radiology, gaining insights into various imaging modalities such as X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and more advanced technologies like PET/MRI and medical 3D printing. This course also emphasizes patient care skills, including communication across stages of psychosocial development, exam preparation, and safety procedures.
Students will have the opportunity to explore all modalities of the Radiology department as well as build awareness around patient care, cross sectional anatomy and opportunities within these areas.
Radiology Modalities:
Patient care skills, exam preparation, communication skills and safety procedures.
Cross sectional anatomy: defining the 3 planes radiology images are acquired in and identify anatomy.
