Nurse Aide is the 76-hour Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) course. It will allow students to meet the training requirements of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1987 (OBRA) for nurse aides working in nursing facilities and skilled nursing facilities. The emphasis of the course is on achieving a basic level of knowledge and demonstrating skills to provide safe and effective resident care.

Location: IGNITE Pathways RM 207
Required Materials/PPE: Must be 16 years of age. A background check form and a 2-step TB test must be submitted before the first day of class. See counselor for form. Clinical takes place in the last six weeks with sites and times to be announced. Clinical may involve evenings and weekends.
