The Advanced Manufacturing class at IGNITE Pathways gives students hands-on experience in precision machining and part fabrication. Using industry-standard lathes and mills, students will design, program, and create custom parts, developing the technical skills needed for careers in manufacturing and engineering. This course combines creativity with real-world application, preparing students for high-demand jobs in advanced manufacturing and automation.
This course will offer basic knowledge of manufacturing machine processes along with machine setup and operation. Students will learn about product development and computerized manufacturing, as well as, introduction into plant automation and robotics. Students will work as a team, use critical thinking skills and problem solve through hands-on experience and practical applications.
