CONSTRUCTION MATH

The IGNITE Pathways Construction Math course is perfect for high school students interested in pursuing careers in construction, offering foundational skills in safety, tools, materials, and project management. Through hands-on training, students will learn to safely use various hand and power tools, master the use of a tape measure, and understand basic plan reading. This course provides essential knowledge and practical experience, preparing students for successful careers in the dynamic construction industry.

Course Description

This is an introductory course to expose students to the basics of the construction industry. This course will focus on learning how to safely use the different hand and power tools that are used in the construction process. Students will become masters with a tape measure. The skills taught will be used to complete small projects.  This course is co-taught with a math instructor and construction instructor.
